Havregrynsgröt med bär och mandlar
This traditional Swedish oatmeal porridge is a warm and comforting breakfast, often enjoyed with fresh berries and crunchy almonds. It's a wholesome way to start your day, packed with fiber and nutrients.

Ingredients
- 100 g rolled oats
- 500 ml water
- 200 ml, or dairy-free alternative milk
- a pinch salt
- 1 tbsp, or to taste honey
- 150 g, fresh or frozen mixed berries
- 30 g almonds, chopped
- 1 tsp, optional cinnamon
Method
- In a medium saucepan, bring water and a pinch of salt to a boil.
- Add the rolled oats to the boiling water, reduce heat to low, and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Pour in the milk and continue to cook for another 5 minutes until the oats are creamy and cooked through.
- Remove from heat and sweeten with honey, mixing well.
- Serve the porridge in bowls, topped with mixed berries and chopped almonds.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
