Lecsó
Lecsó is a flavorful Hungarian vegetable stew featuring bell peppers, tomatoes, and paprika. This comforting dish is perfect for a weeknight meal, served warm with crusty bread or as a side to meats.

Ingredients
- 3 bell peppers, chopped
- 500 g tomatoes, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp paprika powder
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper
- 200 g smoked sausage, sliced
Method
- Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in the minced garlic and paprika powder, cooking for another minute.
- Add the chopped bell peppers and sauté for about 5 minutes until slightly softened.
- Mix in the chopped tomatoes and season with salt and black pepper.
- If using, add the sliced smoked sausage and stir well.
- Cover and let simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are tender.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
