Túrós csusza
Túrós csusza is a traditional Hungarian pasta dish made with egg noodles and a creamy cottage cheese filling. Topped with crispy bacon and served warm, it’s a hearty meal perfect for festive gatherings or weekend family dinners.

Ingredients
- 400 g egg noodles, cooked
- 300 g cottage cheese
- 200 g sour cream
- 150 g smoked bacon, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper
- to garnish fresh parsley, chopped
Method
- In a skillet, cook the diced bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the rendered fat in the skillet.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked egg noodles, cottage cheese, sour cream, sautéed onions, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
- Transfer the noodle mixture to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
- Top with the crispy bacon pieces.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes or until heated through.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
