Ingredients
- 500 g beef, cubed
- 2 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp sweet paprika
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 carrot, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 bay leaf
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper
- 500 ml water
- 2 tbsp oil
Method
- Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the diced onions and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add the cubed beef and brown on all sides.
- Sprinkle in the sweet paprika and stir well to coat the meat.
- Mix in the tomato paste, sliced carrot, and diced bell pepper.
- Pour in the water, add the bay leaf, and season with salt and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer covered for about 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Adjust seasoning if needed and serve hot.
