Ingredients
- 500 g lamb, finely minced
- 150 g bulgur wheat, fine
- 1 onion, finely grated
- 2 tbsp fresh mint, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp allspice, ground
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon, ground
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper, ground
- for drizzling olive oil
- to serve fresh vegetables (e.g., radishes, cucumbers)
Method
- In a large bowl, combine the finely minced lamb with the bulgur wheat and mix well.
- Add the grated onion, chopped mint, chopped parsley, allspice, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper to the mixture.
- Knead the mixture with your hands for about 10 minutes until it is well combined and slightly sticky.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed, adding more salt or spices if desired.
- Transfer the kibbeh mixture to a serving platter and shape it into a smooth, flat layer.
- Drizzle a generous amount of olive oil on top of the kibbeh.
- Garnish with additional fresh herbs if desired.
- Serve immediately with fresh vegetables on the side.
