Mouhalabieh

Ingredients
- 1 L whole milk
- 100 g sugar
- 60 g cornstarch
- 2 tbsp orange blossom water
- 1 tbsp rose water
- 50 g pistachios, crushed
- 200 ml water
Method
- In a saucepan, combine the whole milk, sugar, and water. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
- In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch with a little cold milk to create a smooth paste.
- Once the milk mixture is hot, gradually whisk in the cornstarch paste, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Continue to cook the mixture, stirring constantly, until it thickens (about 5-7 minutes).
- Remove from heat and stir in the orange blossom water and rose water.
- Pour the mixture into individual serving cups or a large dish and let it cool to room temperature.
- Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
- Before serving, garnish with crushed pistachios on top.
