Sticky rice with mango
A beloved Thai dessert, sticky rice with mango features sweet coconut-flavored sticky rice paired with ripe, juicy mango slices. The combination offers a delightful contrast of textures and flavors, making it a perfect treat for any occasion.

Ingredients
- 200 g glutinous rice, soaked for 4 hours
- 200 ml coconut milk
- 50 g sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 ripe mango, sliced
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted for garnish
Method
- Drain the soaked glutinous rice and steam it in a bamboo basket lined with cheesecloth for about 30 minutes until cooked and tender.
- While the rice is steaming, combine coconut milk, sugar, and salt in a saucepan over low heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves, then remove from heat.
- Once the rice is done, transfer it to a mixing bowl and pour two-thirds of the sweetened coconut milk over it. Mix well and let it sit for about 15 minutes.
- To serve, place a portion of the sticky rice on a plate, top it with sliced mango, and drizzle with the remaining coconut milk.
- Garnish with toasted sesame seeds before serving.
